Yogi

Yogi
Labrador Retriever mix male, chocolate, 2 years. Released at Anchorage Animal Care & Control because his family didn't have time for a growing pup. He is sweet and would love someone who can make a commitment to training and lots of exercise! New info: Yogi is very active and needs an owner who loves to run or ski. Another dog to romp with would be very helpful. We've learned that Yogi had some allergies which were impacting his behavior, so now that he's on the right food, he feels better which shows in his improved manners and social skills.

Sheila

Sheila
Dalmatian female, liver and white, 7 years old. Energetic and playful. Came to us from Anchorage Animal Care & Control. She has been previously debarked. She needs an active family with older children. Photo by Alaska Pet-ography.

Napoleon

Napoleon
Chihuahua male, tan and white, 2 years. He just knows he is bigger than he is! He would be best matched with older kids or adults. Photo by Alaska Pet-ography.

Shyla & Shiloh

Shyla and Shiloh - Now available as a pair!
Husky mix female, young adult and Husky mix male, adult. Shyla came to us as a puppy abandoned at Animal Care and Control, and we were asked to rescue her because she needed some additional socialization skills. In her foster home, she has fallen in love with Shiloh and he is equally in love with her. Their devotion makes it difficult to separate them, so we are looking for a home that would like two dogs who already get along beautifully together.

Tulah

Tulah
Cocker Spaniel female, tricolor, senior. She came to us via Animal Care & Control due to the death of her owner and the fact that she needed dental care. She would be best matched to a single dog household but appears to ignore cats.

Laddie

Lassie and Laddie
Terrier mixes, black and grey, young female and male. (Laddie is pictured.) These adorable youngsters were abandoned at Animal Care & Control. We believe they are siblings and they are very devoted to each other. Both are social and playful with other dogs, and are respectful of cats. They would like to be adopted together.

Lily and Wringo
Dachshund female and brown/white Rat Terrier male. This pair would like to be adopted together. Lily is very sweet, and loves to play. Wringo loves to run with other dogs but is very well behaved. Lots of times you will find them sitting leaned up against each other!

Lewis

Lewis
Terrier mix male, white. Lewis needs an owner who understands terrier attitude and who is willing to be the boss. He can be a delightful companion but needs structure and obedience expectations. Photo by Alaska Pet-ography.

Otto

Krystal

Krystal
Weimaraner female, 4+ years. Krystal is still looking for her perfect home. She has come back to us from trial adoptions
because of her need of regular and vigorous exercise. She needs to be an only dog, in an active household with adults only or with older kids. A fenced yard would help her to have a place to run as well. Her skills as a running partner are praised, but she also loves to cuddle on the couch and watch TV and is great in the car. We know there is a perfect home out there for her! Photo by Alaska Pet-ography.
Rosie Rosie
Poodle mix female. This adorable girl came to us from Animal Care and Control because she was badly in need of dental care. She lost quite a few teeth but is a darling dog who does well with other dogs and cats and has wonderful house manners. She appears to bond quickly with women, but needs a quiet home without kids. She's in a foster home with dogs and cats but may very well enjoy being your only dog. She loves to walk and cuddle!

Maggie Maggie
Scottish Terrier mix female who is terrier through and through! She is about 30 lbs and energetic and would be best matched in an adult household. She has great social skills with dogs she considers "pals" - but cats would NOT appreciate her as a housemate!!

Cocker Spaniel mix male, black and white. This gentle dog came to us via Animal Care & Control because of neglect. He is doing great and ready for a new beginning! He loves people and gets along with other dogs.

Annie

Annie - I'm trying out a new home - wish me luck!
Mixed breed female, 2 years old, 60 lbs. Annie is back available for adoption because her owner felt she would be better matched in a home with a fenced yard to play in and with another dog to romp with. She is crate trained. loves going for walks, has good manners at dog parks, is attentive and affectionate. She is spayed, current on shots and microchipped.

Gretel & Hansel

Hansel & Gretel - We're trying out a new home - wish us luck!
Miniature Schnauzers, male (black/silver) and female (salt/pepper). They were found loose on the Glenn Highway; Hans was hit but not seriously injured. No one claimed them, so we were asked to rescue them to give them a chance to stay together. They are now spayed and neutered. Gretel is very shy and timid so we are looking for an adult home with a patient and gentle owner who can restore their confidence.

Peanut - I've been adopted!
Boxer mix female, fawn and white, 2.5 yrs. About the size of a spaniel (35 lbs). Due to a divorce she has again become available for adoption.
